Sept 1922The day after Israel declares her independence, officially becoming the new State of Israel, her neighbours go to war with her. A combined invasion by Egypt, Jordan and Syria, together with expeditionary forces from Iraq, entered Israel – Jordan having declared privately to Jewish emissaries 13 days previously on 2 May that it would abide by a decision not to attack the Jewish State.
